Susie probably won't be allowed to race as she hasn't compepted in any session this weekend. Only way she can compete if she gets special treatment from the FIA.

Would be nice to see her get a go, even a pitlane start.

What is wrong with Bottas?

Mercs up front, no surprise there. Some lap by Lewis.

Marussia not even starting, big surprise, nobody saw that one coming :p

Looks like it will be a good fight between Ferrari and Williams this year, nothing between those four cars. Will be very interesting to see how it plays out over the full race.

Actually, Ferrari and Williams were not far off Niko (thanks to the new rules about no coaching?). Have a feeling the Merc will have the better of them over the race though.

Also impressive by Torro Rosso, both the boys (and they are just boys ffs...).

RB in big trouble, should have ditched Renault like everyone else.

Honda in even more trouble. I really hope they can salvage something over the year, but not looking good right now. Sure, the others were in bad shape last year, but all of Merc, Renault, and Ferrari were running in multiple teams. Honda just have the two McLarens. Just like Renault now only have RB. Plus Honda a full year behind.

Merc one-make series by 2016?

Toro Rosso also use Renault power units, @svensktoppen.

As Ted Kravitz pointed out, Red Bull have lost their sparkle/magic.

Surprised Honda didn't ask to supply Manor Marussia as it would be double the amount of data they could gather/study.

Ah, for some reason I thought TR were running Merc or Ferrari now.

Even more embarrassing then, the rookies at TR were right up there with RB (y)

Lol, Marussia have not turned a wheel :p

And probably never will :innocent:

Coulthard made the comment today on the bbc that he thought they are just meeting the 2015 entry criteria of having the cars passed by scrutineering to claim last years money then they'll be off !!!

So I think you're right.

Cheers

Certainly looks like Manor have just borrowed a bunch of money to get the 30 mill pot.

Pretty terrible race, stricter power unit regs have killed it, 2 reliability related DNSs, on the plus side, Honda finally completed more than 21 laps in a row :/ and I never thought I'd say this, but it's good to see Ferrari back at the sharp end

AUDI A4 Advant .
Coulthard is a knob . .
The prize money is paid out in stages over the following
season so you have to compete the whole season . .
as Manor F1 intend to . Its a pretty straightforward
problem stopping the ferrari p.u. working . .
Theres no code to run them ! All servers were
wiped clean when assets were being prepared for
sale . Now they are trying to install 2015 s.ware
which does not work well and will need re-writing .

This takes time . . .

The upside is Manor arnt putting mileage on engine/d.train
etc for a couple of races so when they do run they can turn
everything up to max and go for it until the 2015 car is ready,
hopefully for the Euro leg tracks . To me , Manor F1 are a
true bunch of racers who have done a great job gettin back
unto the grid and should NOT be judged untill the END of
this season . .

If they had run today they would probably beat Jenson or finished
12th , they are garrenteed 10th in the constructors so will get a
slice of Bernies money for the next few years .Its not all gloom and
doom . .

You won't miss much to be fair, @garyhoker, excitement started & ended at the 1st corner.

Wasn't worth the 4:45am alarm. Perfect weekend for Mercedes-Benz & Hamilton in particular.

Rookies did a fine job, I thought.

Always got the impression Lewis & Nico has performance in their pocket.

Hopefully more cars actually start the race in Malaysia.

Give it a chance.

Hope it's a different story when Bottas is fit & well, he usually races better than Massa so should give Ferrari a better run.

Throw in both Lotus cars to fight with the Red Bull's, Toro Rosso's & Sauber's. Then you might even have Manor fighting with McLaren!

Give what a chance all talk about fuel conservation blah blah blah. I was nearly looking for a rope ffs. I have dvds from races in the 70s, 80s and 90s. I know the result but they are far more interesting.
Bring back refuelling, bin the milk float engines, super sticky qualifying tyres and let's see these drivers racing flat out for every lap.
