I hope the God Vettel doesn't go to Ferrari. Anywhere but Ferrari!

Think it was either Ferrari or McLaren for Vettel.

Oddly enough it was former Ferrari team principal, Stefano Domenicali, who laid the groundwork for Vettel's move to Ferrari last year.

Vettel's reputation has taken a serious hit this year.

Always remember a quote from Alonso:

"We must only judge Seb when he's not in a dominant car"

mediocrely
then this year thanks to Ross Brawn (early help) Paddy Lowe, Mercedes Hamilton is going to win the title.

Hope the race runs tomorrow given this threat of a typhoon.

Alonso beat both Ferrari drivers in qualifying there ;)

Has to be said, that was another great quali for Nico, and another poor one for Lewis. Big gap, wonder if there is something going on after the crash, but not seen anything mentioned. Lewis was comfortably fastest in practise, but then again, we have seen this before this year. Would still bet on Lewis for the race if the car is there.

Botas in third, and Ric ahead of Vettel, so all good elsewhere :grinning:

Seems like touch and go if the race will happen tomorrow. Quite like the idea of a wet race, should suit Lewis.

F1 silly season at its most silliest…

"Alonso to become an investor with Lotus, drive next year then eventually manage the team."

Pinch of salt with that one for seasoning lol

As for the musical chairs, seems like Vettel is leaving for Ferrari, and Alonso is leaving for Honda/McLaren. Kvyat replacing Vettel - know nothing really about him, but then it was the same with Ricciardo, never mind Vettel. I really like their attitude of feeding young drivers through, and not just hiring the best big existing names.

Button is not going to race for McLaren next year, just cannot see that happen at all. Magnusen has done a decent job so far, would make a good wing man for Alonso, but who knows.

No rumours about Nico (yet), guess he is staying where he is.

Honda/McLaren is a big dark horse for next year, just like Mercedes was last year. I have a feeling they could have something great in the works. Here's hoping anyway :grinning:

Honda will pay Alonso almost all of his wages - they wanted a top driver & with Hamilton staying at Mercedes, Alonso was the only other alternative.

Mercedes will keep Rosberg & Hamilton.

Toro Rosso will have Carlos Sainz Jr (son of rally God) & Verstappen.

Force India will likely have Perez & Hülkenberg - although Eddie Jordan heard Hülkenberg might go to Sportcar racing with Porsche.

Button could be without a drive next year, no seats of note for him.

Did you see the comparison lap between them? Ham had a snap of oversteer on the exit of spoon where it was even between them until that then again at the last turn.

No, not seen that, but thought something must have happened. Almost 0.3s slower, big difference.
