Good man Conor!.. Time to turn the tables and get some payback for all those ropey passenger rides in the big Triumph!? This will take the take the 'hairdresser' jibes out of him!:p

@peespeed , I wondered if you'd be taking a break from all the trekking up and down to the lanes!.. Will hopefully see you the following weekend then!

I'm gathering that Ballynahinch MC's rally should be good, so will look forward to seeing @RComms , @KevM and anyone else at that!

Entry in for Larne. I'll be driving and my dad will be arguing/navigating.

Just a bit of work to do to the mx5 for it!

Yous would be better to make a proper weekend of it and come out on the Orchard Nav rally on Friday night too.(y)

Statement from North Armagh MC

"It is with regret that North Armagh Motor Club have had to cancel the Orchard Rally, planned for this Friday night 3rd October, We had only received 10 entries by Tuesday night 30th Sept and not all them with entry fee paid!!!"

@peespeed You put up a pile of miles covering as many events as you do, has to be commended!.. hope my previous post didnt come across as dissappointment. I imagine the task of narrowing hundreds of photos per event down to a selected few to be a bit of a chore too.
Also, not sure if it was mentioned previously, but the 'TDC Turbine' issues are a nice touch too. Good to read a little report of something we've taken part in, see a few familiar faces, and also see what sort of similar events are happening south of the border!

As for the Navigational rallies, thats sad to see another one cancelled. I know very little about them. What seems to be causing the lack of entries these days?... Is it due to other events (like Targas) becoming more popular?.. Are people putting the time and extra few pounds into something like that?

It seems to be that in general navigators don't like to use maps. It is a pity because I think they would get a lot of enjoyment out of having more input into the final result. Navigation rallies require a skilled navigator and a skilled driver. It is a massive sense of achievement for the whole crew when you have a good night.

Everyone ready for the morning? I have to say I'm excited! A bit annoyed i haven't got the hydro working but hoping the wet will make up for it.

..Yip @cauld1 ! Really looking forward to trying out the 'home event' here for the 1st time!... Looks like it's to be a dry day (hope so for anyone marshalling) but I wouldnt mind if the ground stayed wet for some muddy rallying in places!

Meanwhile..
Trust me its very wet and a little slippery .just back from having a sneaky peek .good lanes and only a few rough bits.
...That's just being a tease!

.we're one of the many mx5's!... We're lucky to make it out tomorrow. I steered a bit too much with the rear last time so might go a bit easier incase I knock all the isopon out again!.. We're unlucky number 13 tomorrow, so make sure to say hello!.

see you's in the morning!

Really slippery today and some very entertaining driving by a few of the guys.quite a few getting lost mid stage which is a bit confusing lol.only takes one guy in mx5 to make a mistake and the rest follow the tyre tracks into a sheep pen .

Had a great time until my driving ability ran out. Sort of straightlined a chicane and got thrown into a wall. Wee bit of rebuilding to be done now!

What a days rallying folks, and aye, was a bit shocked at our result. To be honest tho, it's partly down to a lot of other,s misfortune!... while we seemed to be having incredible luck. Gutted hearing @John_MK5 out with diff trouble so early on, and then @cauld1 sitting at the end of that test with strange toe settings... (we hit the same water filled barrel and thought i'd done the same going by the bang!)

Will get a look over tomorrow to assess any damage. There's a spare wheel that's done well to stay up, and something wierd going on with the steering!...

..That's the first time I've ever seen an MX5 look depressed!... Look at it's wee face!.. Sad times!
