Fantastic attention to detail with that plaque etc.

Hope you find the oil leak soon...not nice having that expensive CFS 10w50 leaking out! :p
Yes, got to have all the little details right.

Its not pissing out oil, but for sure don't want to waste any.

Engines are oily, top it up every now and then and keep driving. Life is too short, just have fun with the car :grinning:
True, but I have this thing where my engines have to be as clean as the rest of the car. I won't let this stop me having fun with the car though, just a little niggle to sort over time.

Aye was defo leaking out that hole in the oil return so was worth trying welding it before pulling the sump aswell. Looks like the sump is coming off aswell then

Yeah, looks like it unfortunately, the diff is still determined to spit out all its oil through the breather as well, going to stick a hose on it to extend the length, that should stop it, I'll have a new cover for it by the next time I'm back.

Thanks, some day for a feed and an Ice cream in the port, and perfect driving weather for the Datsun. She doesn't half get dusty quickly though. Also having a nightmare keeping the front wheels clean, washing them twice a day at the moment. Hopefully @AIRFORCE1 can sort me out with some less dusty Pagid pads.

I take it you didn't see me trying to park it then, not so easy with big grippy tyres and no power steering.

No problem, I knew you missed it other times I was in so thought I'd check while I was in for another octane booster, only getting about 16mpg I reckon at the moment, hadn't planned on using that much fuel.

no, it was parked up and the Mrs actually pointed it out first. think I did hear you take off in it tho when I was strolling along the front. I'd imagine it's like trying to park a MK2 escort on slicks with 8" front rims.

Despite this being largely finished there is still a lot to do before its perfect, it will still be keeping me busy for a while to come, at least its all fairly easy stuff.

I don't think the front brake callipers are perfectly aligned with the discs, some adjustment needed.
I need to find suitable replacement brake pads for the front as while the Hawk pads are great performance wise, they are making too much dust and it is destroying my wheels.
Need to finalise the changes I'm making so I can set my toe correctly.
Door hinges need painted, got a spare set to prep ready for a straight swap, just need work out best way to refurb them.
Need a strut brace made as I'm not sure I can make the Cusco one fit.
Diff cover needs replaced and diff breather extended with a length of hose
Need to make a bracket to mount the front reg plate offset
Rear taillight surrounds need re-chromed, if anyone knows somewhere good for plastic chroming let me know.
Will sort some custom elongated washers for my front camber adjustment bolts.
Want to fit new 260Z side badges.
Sump needs re-sealed and I'd like to improve the baffling while its off.
Might order a new set of wheels for the front, 0 offset instead of +10 so I have no need to run spacers, with the +10 offset the tyre hits the inside chassis before I reach full lock.
Need to work out a way of protecting the exhaust flexi pipe from scrapes.
Plus there lots of little parts/items that I'd like to improve, but these are tiny things that really only I would notice.

And that's not counting future upgrade plans of which I have a few.

I took some videos on my GoPro, but the sound is very disappointing, sounds rubbish and muted compared to how it actually sounds, I'll be looking into a decent mic input for my GoPro for future work. Just short runs because it was on the road, I'll try and get somewhere off road for some more videos so I can rip it up through the gears instead of just short second gear blasts.

You'll have to turn the quality up as well, youtube always seems to set my videos to play on the lowest quality and I'm not sure how to change this so they load on 720p.

Exhaust, first run is low boost, next ones are high boost, doesn't sound great but gives you an idea and you can see how quickly second gear is dispatched, unfortunately no flames on high boost limiter this time, guess exhaust wasn't hot enough.

Inside, again, sound sucks and there's a rattle from the case, but its an idea. Low boost on the first ones again.
