Going to ask a probable stupit question,is it £7k for complete shell or is that without doors, bonnet and boot lid??This is torturing my head 3 weeks before Christmas. If @ciarandeery1 would get his ass down to mine and remove a couple of 205,s this is a very high probable lol.God knows how I could ever finish it but sure f-:k it ,maybe do my kiddi in 8 years time to learn to drive in.He would just love that.17 in a mk2 with a 2.5 on bods. .beats my 1.9 205 I had hands down .:-(
You may be quick, at the minute there is only 50 being produced. If there is enough demand there will be more.Anyone who has built an older car will tell you that no matter how much bolt on bits or direct replacement parts you buy there will always be fetteling, so if you had to do some minor fetteling on a repo shell it wouldn't be a major disappointment imo
By the time you pay some man to strip, weld, prep and paint a uk shell id imagine that the price of landing with a new shell and painting it to a good standard wouldn't be much different. especially when you look at some of the prices for the reproduction panels he offers and consider the amount of time it takes to replace them.
My view is that it now give me a chance of actually having the chance to build 1 of these a few years down the line. I check prices and classified from time to time and its sad seeing the last few affordable examples rising in price to the stage someone like myself couldnt afford to buy 1 never mind build 1.
Is it that they're old and 'out of copyright' so to speak? Hence Ford probably don't care too much.

I think they are all scraped I'm sure I seen that said somewhereDo Ford keep the original tooling for these cars, or was it sold or scrapped? Or any Ford for that matter.

Your not filling me full of confidence here .I've a feeling something will go wrong and there will be loads of epic fail type memes, quotes of do you remember the time they imported those Mark 2 escort shells from China, what fools I hope I'm wrong though I'd love to see some on the road
I'd have thought it would cost a lot more to set everything up than what you'd get back only selling 50, maybe its a long term idea though.
Only going on what I have been told, I thought 50 was a bit light myself!
Panels etc are unlimited so that is maybe where he is hoping to recoup the costs. Probably easier selling panels than whole shells. Very few rally men will want to spend 7k on a shell that is going to be cut to pieces anyway, and a Chinese shell is not going to please an RS bufty..........
