@viper_biker - there's 108 links in the existing chain but I'm dropping a tooth on the rear and keeping the front sprocket the same.
Should I stick to 108 links or drop to 106 to compensate?

dont be dropping a tooth .you should be adding a tooth or two on the rear. for shorter gearing its down on the front and up on the rear

Going from 46 to 45 though. They're 43 standard.

Bit more top end needed on the straights!

Leave it at 108. You might find the wheel will be pretty far forward in the adjusters, but it'll move back after the initial stretch. Most you can usually go up on the rear without adding links is 3 teeth, after that you need to go up 2 more links, providing 108 is stock length.
