Got the ITV4 highlights as usual. Now that was fun, lol :grinning:

Really happy for Haddon, great result for him despite his troubles. Should have won it, but hey, not his fault. Next time (y)

Not bad by Neuville either considering all he went through!

Latvala just cannot catch a break, always something going wrong, poor chap.

As for Ogier, well, he brought it home without breaking it, and that made all the difference.

Ouch, not a good way to start :worried:

Sure they will rebuild, but still, not what he needed...

FIA have inspected the car and given the go ahead that the car can run in the rally if it can be fixed in time :grinning:

He had been flat through that corner all day, started to get very rutted, she snagged a rut and over she went

She just climbed the ridge on the inside of the corner! Tiny error in judgement and catastrophic consequences!

Meekes stunned face/comment was priceless!

CITROËN RACING SAY KRIS MEEKE WILL START 72ND LOTOS RALLY POLAND ON SCHEDULE AFTER THE FIA GAVE PERMISSION TO REPAIR HIS BATTERED DS 3.

Meeke rolled his car seven times at Thursday's Shakedown test, and feared the damage might be too serious to allow him to compete.

But the team was given the green light to begin work after an inspection by FIA Technical Delegate Jérôme Touquet confirmed the roll cage was undamaged.

"With the FIA checks complete we are able to make repairs to make it like new again. It will be completely ready for Stage one this afternoon," Didier Clément, Citroen Racing chief operations engineer, told wrc.com.

"Considering the number of rolls it's impressive the car is not more badly damaged," he added. "In fact there's not so much to change. The roll cage and chassis are definitely okay, but we will change the rear wing, the doors, the front bumper and wing, bonnet - things like that. At the front we will change the radiators and make a thorough check of everything."

The team has until 2024hrs to re-prep the car, before Meeke and co-driver Paul Nagle are due to leave for the Mikolajki Arena Super Special Stage. The pair will cross this afternoon's ceremonial start ramp on foot to give their mechanics more time.

"I estimate we need several hours to get the car straight - so I'm feeling quite confident," added Clément.

Some 2017 rules were outlined today at the World Motor Sport Council meeting.

Engine

- Powered increased to 380hp

- 36mm maximum diameter for the turbo restrictor

- Maximum 2.5b absolute turbo pressure

Body

- Free zone defined around the body shell of the production car to create a maximum WRC car width of 1875mm and greater overhang front and rear

- Greater freedom on the lateral parts of the front bumper, with potential for additional aero devices ahead of the front wheels. Openings may also be cut-out on the fender surface

- Bigger and more visible fixed rear wing

The overall weight of the car will be reduced by 25kg, there will be a return to an electronically-controlled centre differential and the overall homologated length of the car must be greater than or equal to 3.9 metres.
