A small update this time.

My Skyline R33 Handbrake setup arrived along with my drilled and grooved discs all around, some nice new braided lines too.

My Skyline calipers painted.

Need to try and get myself some Skyline dust covers for the rear now to finish the brakes. @Nicky anything hanging about?

Is it the complete backing plate you need, or just the covers themselves?

I've a Spec 2 there which might have the dust covers on it still. Can't remember, but I'll get a look tomorrow.

So for the first Saturday night in ages I managed to stay in the garage and work on the car.

Had to get the insides of the doors/shuts prepped and painted, also painted the rear panel so the overfenders could be fitted and it wont look as gash when I rip one off.

Then some paint :p

Came out quite good considering I was only painting at 1:30am.

Have built the doors back up since then, just need to put the windows back in.

It will be away very soon to have the full thing painted, just a few more things to do before that.

Booked in for paint next month so had to pull the finger out and start fitting some things properly, rear fenders on, cheers @BarryPort for the help. Fairly impressed with the fit from the Origin fenders compared to cheap ones, minimal sanding needed and we were pretty much ready to rivet straight on.

Bought myself a little present too... Holset HY35 with a 10cm rear housing, very impressive figures on a 1JZ.

Then got the internal wastegate welded shut.

And just a little blast from the past for ****s and giggles.

Started fitting the front fenders this evening and should hopefully have them finished towards the end of the week.

That's some snail you got, what kind of figures you aiming for with that?

They claim 400bhp at 1bar and about 460bhp at 1.5bar with over 500lb/s torque on a stock 1JZ, Mine will be running slightly modified but not sure on the exact setup yet. With the 10cm rear housing full boost should be early and there should be minimal to no lag.

Nice build! Gotta get a dirty big wing on there or something, or a lip spoiler! Hate despoilering anything let alone a JDM legend like this.

Good work so far, looking forward to seeing the finished product!

A small update this time, I had planned to get major progress over this weekend with the car but due to me being ill for the past week its been a no go so far.

An issue I needed to address before I went any further was the shifter for the R154, it falls 3 Inches too short of the Sbody tunnel, took the rear section of the box out and took it down to Alan Jones at Coleraine Radiator Centre who as usual left a fantastic job on it.

Once I am feeling a little bit better I have all the bits and pieces ready to go for my new exhaust/turbo setup too. It was meant to be away for paint already but I would like to clear up these minor things first. Big Shout to @BarryPort too for the lend of his TIG Welder.

After a serious bit of messing about I eventually managed to pull the box out and replace a few washers in the release bearing which was annoying me from the word go, unfortunately had a total handling removing the clutch through the bellhousing as one of the pressure plate bolts was destroyed, after a few nights of heavy work I finally managed to release it and get it all out.

It run on stock ecu bud ? Ya decide on management yet ?

It will run on a stock ECU for a while David, just need to figure out what sort of boost levels will be safe, I have my Greddy Emanage there but I am going to try and drive it on the OEM ECU for a while until I can save up for some standalone management, likely Haltech.

Thanks to @BarryPort for the loan of his TIG welder when he is away from home, got the Argon sorted for it yesterday and gave it a go for the first time, need to get it setup on a bench to get a steadier weld but had a small effort on the floor on a scrap piece of exhaust.

Next up is actually making the exhaust again.

@John_MK5 and me are going to make some progress tomorrow evening which will hopefully see her ALMOST road worthy.

Slightly more progress....

Starting to use the tig to make the actual exhaust, started sorting the downpipe first, had to fill a fair bit in the 2.5 > 3" adapter but it seems very strong and air tight.

1510898_10154040429030374_82963068180385536_n.jpg

Then after a few hours of concentration and swearing I had the welds down to a fairly good level for what I need.

Should hopefully have it running with its new exhaust system and turbo before next week, even if the exhaust is mm away from the ground.

I have a week off work as I change jobs so decided the only one thing to do was to get cracking on with the S15.

Over the last while I have:
- Re-made the oil return (which is still fecking leaking)
- Rewired and extended the lambda sensor
- Changed the crappy accelerator cable to a nice fresh one from the Supra
- Played about with the FMIC and got it seating better with no rubbing
- Rewired and extended bits of the engine loom protecting them from heat
- Made a screamer pipe
- Finished the downpipe and added a new Lambda hole
- Heatwrapped bits and pieces
- Bought a new radiator as my old one was leaking, had it modified to the same spec and added a bung for a temp sensor
- Bought some expensive ass heat shield stuff

Then today I done this.... Vacuum pipes need setup correctly hence why it idles **** and the exhaust isnt tight, but we have lift off.
