So, just to add to the battered sump guard collection after summer lanes...

The beating has taken some of the curve out of it (front edge was previously just touching the plastic undertray), so had to accurately shape it again...

Asides from that all we need is a taste of petrol and we're good to go (We got off lightly enough!)

So with a little spare time, and after all the hairdresser comments flying about since the last rally, I decided I'm going to have to do something to man this MX up a bit, and try to emphasize the whole 'Rally Car' theme!... This ought to do the trick!... GGRRR!!...

Dont say that!..

I've scrubbed off a rough coat of gloss black to redo it in satin and it looks to have been powder coated pink from new!... i.e someone chose that and paid new price for it at some point!... MX5 owners eh!

You still hoping to make it out to Rathfriland's?.. I know a few regulars could be at the festival of speed or elsewhere, but still hope there's a decent entry, and that Rathfriland MC manage a good 1st time Targa!

Is everyone feeling a bit underwhelmed for 'normal' lanes after the QUB?

Aye, we're running a bit low in craic on the run up to RMC's Rally!... Between marraige related events, and other motorsport events north and south, the entry seems to have suffered... We're still looking forward to it, although no idea what sort of tests to expect.

I take it you've put in a last minute entry and it just wasnt in the updated list above?.. Car and crew ready to go?... I just have to decide what to wear!... does anyone know what colour the cones will be so I can colour co-ordinate make up etc?!.. Want to look our best incase @peespeed makes it up a run.

Yes, Im in at the final hour, hand delivered my entry last friday evening. Its been a busy oul month!

Changed the tyres and wheels over last night & nearly binned it on the way home thanks to @John_MK5 and his 50psi in the rear suggestion, some value!!

I'll see if there's still oil & water in it later in the week & should be good to go!

Aye, they're a bit more frequent later in the year.. it'll test the purse strings trying to do every one! Glad to see Cookstown MC sticking to the £100 mark all in... then its just fuel and wear and tear after that.

@DavyC I would imagine red and white cones as usual..........with a splatter of cow****e here n there, do you think you could get that level of co-ordination sorted for Saturday lol

..hhmmm might struggle finding the right shade of red, but the rest should be do-able!

..Eh?.. Finished in the top 10 (with a ropey clutch?) and were even leading the last rally for a while! lol!... is this the 'no top 3 or class wins in the last 12 months' rule kicking in?

No lanes for me this weekend, but I've had a look over the test diagrams with with the COC. Sounds like a fairly relaxed day with a nice mixture of tests . Hope you all enjoy it! Will be good to hear some feedback!

I'm sure it'll be easy sorted if I make it on Saturday. Engaged on Sunday, too hungover on monday, customers cars in last night and tonight. 2 mx5s both need need sump guards, tyres, one needs rear brake pipes and mines needs the exhaust unwrapped from the propshaft. Then engagement party on Saturday night and Tenerife on Sunday lol
