Aye, congratulations to the pair of you's John!... (tho there's another rally career down the tubes!:p) In the meantime tho, less of the 'if' talk... You'll be burning the candle from both ends by the sound of it, but sure you'll have no bother getting to sleep on the plane then!

I think you got 6th in class 2, not sure overall John, for you were on the time sheets twice. Possibly 10th overall?

I think Peespeed got the actual results

Cheers Kevin!.. That only just happened at the very last test going from 2nd to 1st in class and up 2 places overall… Sorry @John_MK5. I still need to work on the ‘excitement’ thing and get settled earlier… tho I guess it’s the same for most people!?

What did anyone think of the days tests? We thought the 1st test in around a pounds yard was great (swore I was hitting that mini digger tho!), we hated the 3rd test at Cromies Yard initially, but by the 3rd run were flying, loved it, and could have went round it all day, then all the other tests were fun but just very basic. The grippy tarmac / concrete one with a bit of a climb was basically just a sprint for the powerful cars at the end of the day.

There seemed to have been a bit more road time vs test time too?

All in all it was another great day out, and as usual you have to admire the ones who stand out all day taking times… and pictures too! @peespeed

How does one view the videos on the 'test lanes and trials' face book page?.. All im seeing is a 'closed group' when I search.

..Only actually, having a nosey throught the final results here now... Does anyone know why the cromies yard test times are more or less a complete list of MAX times?.. Our first run through it was pathetic, we got it correct but spent more time reversing / studying the diagram / arguing than anything else. The 2nd time was a bit of a blur. But the third time the marshall reckoned we were 3rd fastest through it up to then!?.. :worried:.. Probably wouldnt have made a lot of difference all the same.

The guys didnt count any penalties for any of the tests on the final scoring.

We got plenty of mixed weather for our runs, we got torrential rain on the first & last run at Cromies, nearly collected a block wall on the first and nearly under-steered down off the edge of the yard on the 360 for the last! Also heavy rain the final 'lane' test at Katesbridge, nice & greasy, had a big step-out when pulling 3rd gear on the flat straight, Simon thought it was all over!! Then couldnt get grip to pull up the 2nd hill out the stop box!

Right?!. shame that, I really enjoyed our 3rd run through it!lol!..

yeah, the weather was random!.. Scattered, sometimes heavy showers, but warm and windy enough to dry out quickly afterwards! Our 3rd run up Wilsons was bone dry. Would've been frustrating enough if it turned wet just before your run!

Meanwhile, thats the entry for Cookstown's in the post!...

Didn't think the hair salons opened on a Saturday anymore in NI 8-|:p

I'm just thinking, Chantelle is off on leave this week, if I have to cover her Saturday this weekend, il be good to go for Cookstown!

I noticed the Cookstown sponsor made an appearance at the Rathfriland Targa!
