New rear springs arrived, should bring it back up nicely

Finally got around to listing the work the Monaro VXR underwent recently -

Rear seat stitching at shoulder areas repaired.​
New interior door lights.​
All rotten bodywork removed from rear sill areas - new inner and outer rear sill sections fabricated and welded in, including rear subframe sill mount.​
Bumpers and side skirts removed.​
New rear crash bar from Pontiac GTO sourced and bolted in place.​
New rear bumper brackets sourced and fitted.​
Car resprayed in Sting red, including metalwork, all plastics and new metal door handles from Vauxhall Omega.​
Small crease on rear arch repaired.​
New bolts for side skirts purchased and fitted.​
Cracked plastic boot face repaired with glass fibre and painted.​
Strut brace removed, sand blasted and painted.​
All brake callipers removed, stripped and refurbished, painted in gloss black, new seals purchased from Rock Auto.​
Rear subframe and diff dropped out and sandblasted along with suspension arms, diff, drive shafts, covers, nuts and bolts.​
Rear subframe, suspension arms, diff, drive shafts, covers rust proofed and painted, nuts and bolts covered with copper spray​
Underside of car cleaned with sanding discs removed scale, surface rust and old underseal burnt off.​
Underside painted with Dinitrol.​
Cavities and box sections filled with cavity wax.​
New brake pads purchased from Rock Auto.​
New HEL brake lines purchased and fitted.​
New brake pipes from engine to brake lines fitted, using copper pipe.​
Engine bay chassis rail surface corrosion repaired and painted.​
New black mesh purchased and fitted to bumper intakes.​
New Fog-lights purchased and fitted, halo on side-lights.​
New fuel lines from engine to fuel tank fitted, using copper pipe​
New fuel line to fuel tank pipe and connections purchased and fitted.​
New fuel line to engine pipe and connections purchased and fitted.​
New grooved front brake discs purchased from BDA and fitted.​
New grooved and drilled brake discs purchased from BDA and fitted.​
New rear lowered coil springs from Pedders and fitted.​
New rear shocks purchased from Pedders and fitted.​
Driver seat support repaired.​
Alloys wheels refurbished.​
New alloy wheel caps purchased and fitted​
New black wheel studs purchased and fitted.​
Mirror unit in sun visor replaced.​
Taillight repaired.​
Rad cap cover sourced from Oz along with new label and fitted.​
Wiper arms painted and new plug fitted.​
Exhaust repaired at various locations, seized electronic valves removed, replaced with blanks.​
New clamps on exhaust fitted.​
Aux belts replaced.​
Coolant leak at thermostat repaired.​
Oil leak repaired.​
x8 plugs replaced.​
New 5-30w oil & oil filter added.​
New brake fluid added​
New K&N 57i cone filter purchased and fitted.​
New number plates purchased and fitted.​
Think that's it so far!​
Brave man listing that out, hope the Cost column was left empty!

It was left empty because it wasn’t the key driver for doing it, getting the car back to its former glory was (hence the list), we’d all be out of pocket if not for the love of cars on this forum, if we all drove the same cars it would be pretty mundane. Better than letting it disappear into scrap, could have bought something modern, V8 manual, rear wheel drive and reasonably rare tick tick tick

Couldn’t agree more, blame the wine if my post came across any differently

Rear springs replaced, door pin replaced, new tailpipes courtesy of OMA, car through MOT, Tax……..finished !

Will get some decent photos when it gets a proper clean, very happy with how the car has turned out
