Same here, love Plato, but that was way over the line. Especially as everything was settled, everyone just wanted a good clean race to round off a great weekend.

Super win for Turkington, well deserved :grinning:

And great for Morgan to get his first win too, well done (y)

Last race was a bit mad, lol - not just the rain, but it got really dark too.

Proper racing this after the F1 yawn before!

Was so disappointed Plato had to spear him off like that. Everyone in the crowd and back home was looking forward to the two of them going wheel to wheel without the championship mattering but plato wrecked that idea. t**t.

Brilliant and deserved ending for Turkington this season, great to see the sense of relief on him,his family and WSR.Have to say though i didn't agree with the Triple 8 boss that Plato was still the best driver on the grid and he's still going on about the rwd "advantage'.......

Supeb series and absolutely great result for Colin at the weekend! Well deserved and proof positive that he shouldn't of been without a drive for the previous few seasons.

As for the 'rear wheel drive advantage crowd'.... they seem to consistently forget that there are 2 other drivers in identical machineary to Colin, whose performances are largely mediocre at best! Collard is a proven race winner as well, but no where near Colins pace.

Agreed, and the Mercedes and Audi entrants didn't exactly shower themselves in race wins throughout the season.
It went almost to the wire for the title between a RWD and a FWD so there can be no complaints.

End of the day it's just racing drivers excuse, someone always has some advantage haha

Great season tho and glad turkington won, was well deserved, and still getting awesome starts even with the higher 1st gear

BMW must have changed/upgraded there clutch after the first meeting with the higher 1st gear as turkington clutch went in 3rd race

Agree totally, Turkington deserved it and was rooting for him, definitely feel privileged to have seen his Knockhill race live.

My first time actually seeing him race was at knockhill in 2013, won the first two races and a 4th in the last (all be it disallowed on a technical infringement)

See you there next year lol

Rover's!
RWD advantage, utter trip. He's playing up for a bigger deal next season.

Last 25 years theres been 5 RWD champions, 1 Quattro and the rest have been FWD champs, yes NGTC cars have been designed from ground up but seriously he's just giving off.

Infiniti to enter BTCC with Support Our Paras Racing
Infiniti will enter the BTCC in 2015 with the manufacturer backed Support Our Paras Racing team.

Support Our Paras Racing, run by Pro Motorsport, will use motorsport to support injured servicemen from the Parachute Regiment, and will bring a pair of Infiniti Q50s to the BTCC grid with Derek Palmer and Richard Hawken at the wheel, both of whom have recently competed in the HSCC Super Touring Car Championship.

“I’m extremely proud to be associated with the Parachute Regiment,” said Palmer, who has experience in FIA GT, British GT and European GT Championships. “I’m honoured to work with, and be associated with, the guys and to be part of the team entering the BTCC. Infiniti’s aspirations perfectly align with those of the team.”

Unveiled at St Lawrence Jewry, the principle Regimental church of the Parachute Regiment, the team outlined its aims to raise awareness and funds for the Support Our Paras charity. The team will be formed in part by injured Paratroopers, who will prepare the car for the race weekends and maintain them throughout the year.

The long term goal for the team is to see an injured Paratrooper in the driving seat of one of the two Q50s by 2015.

“We’ve set ourselves a number of significant, but achievable targets,” said Team Principle Derek Palmer Sr. “Of course we are aware of the challenges ahead of us, but with the united forces of The Paras and Infiniti, we believe we have the power to deliver results in the BTCC.”

The team have been granted access to the BTCC grid for 2015 by Series Director Alan Gow, issuing the team with a pair of TOCA BTCC Licences (TBL) that had been kept aside for potential manufacturer-backed projects. The cars will be powered by the TOCA-approved Swindon engine.

“It’s fantastic to welcome a new manufacturer to the BTCC and particularly a premium brand such as Infiniti,” Gow said. “There’s a great initiative behind the team too, with the ‘Support Our Paras’ charity being such a worthwhile cause. The record-breaking 2014 BTCC season concluded in fine style at Brands Hatch last weekend and the interest in the series continues to grow year-on-year. These entries from Infiniti are further testament to that and we look forward to welcoming the team to Britain’s best championship in 2015.”

The team will operate out of a newly-refurbished HQ at Mallory Park, and all profits generated by the team will be donated to the Support Our Paras charity.
