Merc strong again in practice. Interestingly, Vettel has been quicker than Rosberg so far, though obviously impossible to draw any real conclusions from that.

Looks like Lewis is well ahead, and that Nico might have to defend against Ferrari again.

Button doing well in the McL/Honda, great to see the steady progress from them Hope it translates into a race result.

Over 1-lap, Lewis is way ahead.

Over a long run, Nico was the quicker yesterday. Surprised to read that Massa was the next fastest, after the two Mercedes, slightly ahead of Seb & Kimi.

McLaren are nowhere on long run pace.

Cannot see anyone else touch Mercedes to be honest, unless they trip themselves up or mess things up.

Have to say I still think Hamilton will win it.

Nico has previously put his poor qualifying down to saving tyres for the race... but in the race hes always been slower with better tyres (if he was telling the truth).

So for that reason I think Hamilton will win it..

A bad start, and one bad pit stop, and that was it, lol All it takes at the front.

Ah well, Niko had to get one eventually. Great effort in qualifying, and a flawless race, so hat off.

Loved what was in effect team orders at the end Right call though.

Other than that, Bottas holding off Ferrari again, great show. He will not get any contract with them that way though

McL seemed to stumble backwards again though

Lotus jack man took one heck of a hit. Done brilliantly to get the car jacked up, tho maybe by luck as he held on haha.

Bound to be very sore, loved the pit crew clip and him with the ice telling the camera to f**k off and team shouting haha

Niko did well to be fair although had Hamilton not got done I think we may have been on for a good battle especially with pit stops etc

Unfortunately not much else happened.

thought Lewis was going to have a go at the end as the gap was closing rapidly, but obviously thought better of it and settled for 2nd.

kinda glad tbh as we want to see a bit of a scrap.

I wonder will Nico cheat in Monaco again?

Asked several times "Is it impossible?", and told "we think it is impossible, save the engine", lol He is such a racer, but in this case better to live and fight another day and all that.

Said he is going to have a chat with his team so he never gets told its impossible again lol

Rosberg needed that win, hoping for some close fair battles between the 2 merc drivers now.

That Williams seemed to have great drive off the slow corners, Bottas was away in the distance while Raikkonen was still feathering the throttle

What is up with the McLarens. Alonso was unlucky with one of his tear off visors causing brake failure but Button is no where near it. He even said his car is scary to drive!

Seem to have improved on short runs/quali, but going backwards or nowhere on race pace... They are still a full year behind with the engine though, and the only testing it gets is in the races... A long way to go.

Jenson seemed to have a problem with power delivery, just got everything in one massive dollop as soon as he touched the accelerator.

Just shows how ludicrously impossible the current engine rules are... If the combined might of Honda and McLaren cannot build one, then something is seriously wrong... Even Ferrari are struggling, and we all know the mess Renault are in...

Redbull saying again if they dont get Audi on board for an engine they are leaving!

A bit of sour grapes from them for sure, but still... If Mercedes is the only option for a competitive engine, and the rules are such that nobody else has any hope of catching up, then what is the point... Besides, with the current rules the way they are, it is very hard to see Audi getting into this. Especially after they have seen how difficult it has been for Honda.

Id agree with Red Bull tbh, they spend a lot of money every year and if they dont have their car at the front competing then it is not worth their while.

Contracted to 2020 in F1 but only end of 2016 with Renault
